Abstract: |
Archaeological monitoring and recording at 9 Ship Street, Brighton, East Sussex, was undertaken by AC archaeology during October 2017. The work comprised the monitoring of groundworks associated with the construction of a new two storey rear extension to the building. The site is located within the historic core of Brighton. The monitoring found that development of the site dating to the middle of the 20th century had removed the evidence for any previous use of the site, with no features, deposits or finds of post-medieval or earlier date observed. |
