Abstract: |
Wessex Archaeology was commissioned by Hanson Aggregates Marine Ltd to prepare an archaeological assessment of marine geophysical data as part of the heritage impact monitoring process implemented for aggregate extraction Area 202, situated approximately nine kilometres offshore from Great Yarmouth.
This assessment consists of a review of sidescan sonar data covering Area 202 acquired by Emu in July 2008. No archaeological sites were identified within the limits of the monitoring areas during this review. Two anomalies previously identified towards the northern extent of Area 202 were not apparent in the dataset reviewed for this report. No new exclusion zones have been recommended for the area being monitored. |
