Abstract:		 An Archaeological Desk Based Assessment and Settings Assessment have been undertaken by AB Heritage Ltd for a site at Gibbshaven Farm, Felbridge, on the West Sussex / Surrey border. No heritage assets are recorded within the proposed development site on the Historic Environment Record and no additional features have been noted during the assessment. The northern part of the site was previously covered by woodland that was felled in the mid 20th century. It may have been within the area of Gibbshaven Farm that is thought to have been grubbed out in recent years, although this is unconfirmed. It is concluded that there is a potential for the recovery of Medieval and Post-Medieval agricultural evidence (drainage channels, field boundaries etc.) to survive within the site.
