Abstract: |
A desk-based assessment of a proposed development site was prepared. The assessment identified that there are seven designated heritage assets located within the study area of 500m of the application area; these are Grade II listed buildings and the Bedminster Conservation Area. There are four recorded non-designated heritage assets. None of these assets are situated within the development, although the site lies within the conservation area. The significance of the heritage assets has been evaluated and they have been found to be of High, Medium and Low Significance. The potential for the presence and/or survival of below-ground deposits is generally considered to be high, with the possibility of encountering remains associated with prehistoric, Romano-British or medieval settlement. |
