Abstract: |
Excavations took place along the verge of the B1253 to the east of Caythorpe, comprising a trench measuring 14m long, 0.5m wide and 0.9m deep. The second trench was in a lay-by on the A614, just outside Thornholme village, in Burton Agnes parish. An L-shaped trench was excavated over a distance of 5.3m, measuring 1.2m wide, and with a maximum depth of 1.2m. No other archaeological features or artefacts were identified in either trench. |
