Series: Archaeology Collective unpublished report series

A geophysical survey of land proposed for development at Johnson's Farm, Saxmundum Road, Leiston, Suffolk was undertaken in March 2016. Trace evidence of potential archaeological remains was found in the form of linear features, possible quarrying and ferrous-rich materials indicative of industrial activity. There was clear evidence of below ground archaeology related to the site of Johnson's Farm, its former access trackway and two ponds recorded on historic mapping. Possible traces of ridge and furrow were also found, along with modern land drains.

Listed Building Consent required an Historic Building Record, level 3, of Maynetrees at 55-57 New Street, Chelmsford, a large building originally domestic, most recently used as judges' lodgings, meeting and conference facilities. Building has evidence of 17th, perhaps 16th century timber frame range with comprehensive 18th and 19th century extensions mainly in brick and including a king-post mansard roof over the earlier front range. The building is to be converted to 10 self-contained residential apartments.

Level 2 Historic Building Record of No 15 Ecton Street, Northampton prior to its conversion to a residential premises. It was formerly a workshop for the Northamptonshire Boot and Shoe Industry. The building is a simple two storey builldng with workshops on both floors.

An historic building record of the early 20th century building which became the headquarters of the British Steam Specialties company. The record was compiled as part of an application to demolish the structure. The record comprised historic research, a detailed inspection of the building and photographic record.
