Series: Worcestershire Archaeology Research Reports

Worcestershire Archaeological Research Reports (WARR) is a series of digital reports produced by Worcestershire Archaeology, part of Worcestershire Archive & Archaeology Service (WAAS). This series aims to accommodate major reports and make them widely available, thereby encouraging research, especially in the county.

This publication series was developed in order to avoid a potential future backlog in the publication of larger archaeological site reports in the biennial volumes of the local county archaeological journal. The length of reports awaiting publication, the number of reports on similar types of site, and the volume of substantial excavation reports in process, were all such that a new outlet was clearly required. For Worcestershire sites the resulting digital report series now runs very much in parallel with the local county journal, the latter carrying summaries of the WARR reports, thereby signposting the detailed reporting in this digital report series.

Publication in the WARR series is not restricted to reports produced by Worcestershire Archaeology, nor to just excavation reports, since its focus is on the historic environment in the broadest sense.
