Jenny Wetton is an independent heritage consultant and provides conservation and planning advice for historic buildings. She is a Full member of the Institute of Historic Building Conservation (IHBC) and carries out research and analysis for conservation documents, produces NPPF heritage statements for listed buildings and work in conservation areas, archaeological building records for conditions of planning permission and Statements of Significance for historic places of worship.
Jenny Wetton has produced heritage statements for a wide variety of both listed and unlisted buildings and buildings in conservation areas across the North West. Projects have ranged from work on houses for private clients to commercial and conversion work for developers. Listed and unlisted buildings have included vernacular farmhouses and architect-designed villas. Conversion and development sites have included work for Jones Homes, Morris Homes and NC Architecture. Examples include the former Greenbank Synagogue, Liverpool, Cold Arbour Farm in Bollington, Cheshire, and the Linotype Works office in Altrincham.
Jenny Wetton has provided heritage advice for large estates, such as the Swynnerton Estate and the Capesthorne Estate and has specialist experience with museums and theatres, such as the Bury Met Theatre and the Hulme Hippodrome in Manchester. She is based in Greater Manchester and covers Cheshire, Lancashire and Derbyshire although sometimes works further afield.
