The present building has medium heritage significance as a post-war rebuilding of a large and stately late seventeenth-century meeting house destroyed in the Second World War. It stands next to the Quaker burial ground for Norwich which has high heritage significance. Evidential Value: The building is essentially a rebuilding of the 1950s, but incorporating earlier fabric and standing on the site of the earlier meeting house. The attached burial ground has been in constant use since the seventeenth century. Together they have high evidential value. Historical Value: Although the present meeting house is of some historical interest as a reminder of its handsome seventeenth century predecessor, incorporating some re-used fabric, the chief historical importance of Gildencroft now lies in the burial ground which is of high historical value. Aesthetic Value: The meeting house is essentially a very modest 1950s building, of low aesthetic value. Communal Value: The former meeting house is now in permanent use as a Children's Centre, which gives it high communal value.

The former meeting house is a suburban house of c.1910. It has low heritage value. Evidential value: The building has low evidential value. Historical value: The former meeting house is typical for the period around 1900. Nothing is known about its previous occupants. It has low historical value. Aesthetic value: It shares many features with contemporary houses and has low aesthetic value. Communal value: While the Quaker use has now ceased, it was used as a place of worship for over 40 years. It has medium communal value.

Hogsty End (now Woburn Sands) was one of the most important early Quaker centres in Buckinghamshire. Now laid down as a meeting house, the present building is not of special architectural interest but the site as a whole is of medium heritage value. Evidential value: The present meeting house stands on the site of an earlier seventeenth century building and the burial ground has been in use since the 1680s, so the site has medium evidential value. Historical value: Hogsty End was one of the earliest meetings in this area and the site has high historical value. Aesthetic value: The present building is a pleasant late Victorian structure in the Vernacular Revival style and is of medium heritage value. Communal value: A building on this site was used by Quakers almost continuously between 1673 and 1947. After that date the present building became a public library, and will now serve the local community as a day nursery. It has high communal value.

Acomb meeting house is a modest building, adapted in the beginning of the twentieth century from a former Primitive Methodist Chapel, probably built to the designs of Henry Mannering in c.1824 or 1846. It is located in an attractive position facing the Village Green and makes a positive contribution to Acomb Conservation Area; the building has medium heritage significance. Evidential value The property originated as a Primitive Methodist Chapel, and the twentieth century alterations illustrate the building's transformation for Quaker use. The site is within an Area of Archaeological Importance and has medium archaeological potential. Historical value The meeting house is of high historical value, as a building built for Non-conformist worship. It was built as a Primitive Methodist Chapel in c1824 or 1846 and was purchased for Quaker use in 1911. Aesthetic value The meeting house has medium aesthetic architectural and townscape value for its frontage to the main street facing the Village Green. Communal value In addition to its historic use by the Methodists and Quakers, the meeting house is also now used by the wider community. The building has high communal value.

Balby Meeting House represents the latest in a series of meeting houses that have served Quakers in the Doncaster area since the early eighteenth century. It was built in the 1970s, and refurbished and extended in 2009; it has low significance for its heritage value. Evidential value. As a relatively modern building, the building has low significance for evidential and archaeological values. The re-set grave stones in the garden have some evidential value, related to burial grounds in Warmsworth and on West Laith Gate, both since closed. Historical value The building is associated with the long history of Quakers in Balby and Doncaster, but the current meeting house and site has low historical significance. Aesthetic value The building has medium significance for its architectural value, as a typical example of 1970s design, remodelled to form an attractive, but plain meeting house in 2009. Communal value The meeting house has high communal value, as a place for Quaker meetings and it plays an important role in the neighbourhood, providing space for activities that support the community, particularly disadvantaged people, asylum-seekers and refugees.

The meeting house was built in 1797; the attached burial ground was opened at the same time. There have been some minor alterations to both exterior and interior but the building is substantially intact and still preserves much of its original character. It is of high heritage significance. Evidential value The building still contains many elements of the original arrangements and overall the building is of high evidential value. Historical value A well-preserved example of a small late-eighteenth century rural meeting house with some nineteenth century alterations. The building is of high historical value. Aesthetic value The modest stone exterior of the building is attractive while the interior still preserves a great deal of its original Georgian character. The building as a whole is of high aesthetic value. Communal value The meeting house has been in use for Quaker worship continuously since 1797, but its remote situation has deterred other community users. The building has medium communal value.

Darlington Meeting House is a large and handsome brick meeting house built between 1839-1846, replacing a meeting house of the 1760s on the same site and adjacent to the site of a 1678 meeting house. Behind the meeting house building is a large burial ground, originally of the 1670s but enlarged several times and containing memorials to several notable local Quakers. The building was damagingly altered in 1960 but many of the original fittings still survive. The site as a whole is of high heritage significance. Evidential value The original interior was altered in 1960 but many original features still survive, including the sliding sash partitions and the stand in the south meeting room. Other features have been covered-up and but still provide evidence of the original arrangements. The building and burial ground have high evidential value. Historical value A fairly well-preserved example of a substantial early nineteenth century meeting house, with strong connections to some local Quaker families of national significance, such as the Backhouse and Pease families. The building and site is of high historical value. Aesthetic value The street front is handsome. The rear of the building containing the meeting rooms is more utilitarian in appearance. The interior was originally extremely impressive and still preserves something of its original character despite the unfortunate alterations of the 1960s. The building is of high aesthetic value, and retains an attractive burial ground setting. Communal value Quakers have worshipped in Skinnergate more or less continuously since the 1670s. In more recent times the meeting house has been used by other community groups. The building has high communal value.

The Great Ayton site was acquired in 1700 for both a meeting house and a burial ground, and the present building was opened in 1722. From 1841 it was closely associated with the adjacent Quaker school. The building was enlarged and greatly altered in 1967 to allow it to function as a performance space for the school and was again refurbished in 2001, after the school had closed. As a result of these alterations, all sense of the original character of the interior has been lost. The burial ground has been enlarged several times and is now of a considerable size. Overall, the building and burial ground together are of high heritage significance, despite the altered state of the meeting house interior.

The meeting house was originally erected in the 1980s or 1990s as offices for the Hull Probation Service. It was purchased by Friends in 2005 and enlarged and adapted for Quaker use. The building is of low heritage significance. Evidential value The building is entirely modern and is of low evidential value. Historical value The building has some slight interest as the former office of the probation service, but overall is of low historic value. Aesthetic value The meeting house is a functional modern building with little (low) aesthetic value. Communal value The building has always been used for community purposes and has high communal value.

The meeting house has medium heritage significance as a Victorian domestic building which was converted for use as a meeting house in the 1980s. Evidential value The meeting house has an overall low level of significance for evidential value. The North Yorkshire County Council Historic Environment Record has not identified the site for any archaeological interest. Historical value Little is known about the builders or architect of 7 Grove Square and there is little information about the former occupiers of the building. As a typical nineteenth century building built in the local vernacular and converted for Quaker use in 1980s, it has medium historical value. Aesthetic value The meeting house has medium aesthetic value. It is an attractive nineteenth century domestic building which retains much of its original external architectural detail. It makes a positive contribution to the conservation area. Communal value The building has been in use as a Quaker meeting house since 1984 and a venue for community groups. The meeting house has medium communal value.
