A square shaped pillbox (partly demolished) sited to cover the coastal footpath leading to and from Swanpool and Maenporth beaches. There are 2 other pillboxes defending the actual beach at Maenporth. The pillbox is heavily overgrown by bramble bushes. One wall appears to have been demolished or blown up, and part of the roof is damaged. The remaining embrasures covered both directions, E and W along the coastal footpath. 2 of the existing embrasures cover approach from the E with the other covering the W. The outer walls are 2ft thick, with an inner wall 1ft thick. [Recorder John Harding type 24 pillbox grid reference SW 79072972]
