A light anti-aircraft machine gun post, with a red brick box on top as an ammunition locker. The parapet wall to the gun platform are missing. Taunton Station had at least four other similar LAA posts, of which two at least have been demolished. The posts were probably manned by the LAA troop of GWR Coy of 2nd Somerset (Taunton) Home Guard Btn.
