Pillbox, no specification. One of three pillboxes erected on St. Michael's Mount. Built onto a Civil War Battery. The walls (0.7m thick) are made of concrete blocks to 1.3m above the old battery. Its design is very similar to pillbox SW 51392977 with 5 splayed embrasures, one in each of the main faces and with concrete lintels at ground level. Each embrasure is 0.25m square, splayed inside and out. The entrance at the SW was approached by a passage cut through the earlier battery. The reinforced concrete roof was originally topped with turf.
