Anti-tank beach scaffolding (double line) along the whole of Studland Bay N from Redend Point, mainly with barbed wire fencing running between it and the shore. It was erected during 1941 and at first finished at Redend Point in the south. By May 1942 this had been extended to a position S of Redend Point. In the area of SZ 03478443 the scaffolding formed a rectangular enclosure (perhaps around a minefield) - see UORN 16324 . The scaffolding was partly removed in September 1943 to allow for amphibious assault training.
