Type 24 pillbox built to defend the adjoining Kingsand Beach. The pillbox overlooks Cawsand Bay and is sited on the E side of the Rame Peninsula. There are many fortifications and gunsites etc in this area, built to protect Plymouth Harbour and Dockyard. The pillbox is in excellent condition and has been made a feature of the private garden in which it is situated.

Pillbox constructed of shuttered concrete, and roughly hexagonal in shape, with a doorway in the side facing Garrett Street to the SW. This is flanked by two armoured embrasures, and there is a pair of embrasures in each of the broader sea-facing sides: the remainder have one embrasure each. The pillbox is very well preserved, and currently used as a garden shed. It is painted pink.
