Type 24 pillbox of poured concrete, with skirt of concrete sandbag retaining wall.

Type 24 pillbox, with a skirt formed by dry laying a retaining wall of concrete sandbags 36ins away from the pillbox walls - resultant space filled with earth. Skirt slopes up at an angle of about 20 degrees from the front. Internal blast wall straight, and parallel with rear pillbox wall.

Hexagonal pillbox. It has a 'skirt' of concreted sandbags, some of which survive well. Faces lane (N). Brick interior blast wall. No access. On private land.
