Pillbox, with brick exterior shuttering over reinforced concrete core. Stands alongside canal feeder channel, overlooking railway and Kennet and Avon Canal. On private farm land, but accessible along farm track. Interior inspection not possible. [Colin Alexander lists it as a type 22 shell-proof].

Standard type 22 pillbox situated on elevated position with field of fire to S, SE, and SW across canal and Freewarren Bridge. Brick-shuttered exterior.
