Hexagonal pillbox.
(Source: Field Visit 1999/04/17)
Half-demolished pillbox, probably a type 22 [although it may have been square], reduced to about half height and filled with its own rubble. This was done at some time between 1999-2000. Covered in vegetation.

Type 22 pillbox on the W boundary of the Receiver Site of RAF Canewdon (radar station). Demolished in 2000.
(Source: SMR 2003/08)
Hexagonal structure plotted from OS 1:2500 map.
(Source: Map 1972)
No sign of this pillbox. It has undoubtedly been destroyed recently to help make a broad open field.
