Pillbox variant with seven sides. There are 5 embrasures on a single level (3 facing forward and 1 each left and right). The interior mirrors the external irregular shape with the left hand embrasure at the angle of the 2 walls. The entrance is offset to the rear. All the embrasures have remains of steel brackets for shutters. Access is via the 3ft high entrance that still has its metal door in good working order. There is also the remains of the dead bolt in situ. Internally there are two pillars of concrete, 2ft x 2ft 6in high, behind the forward facing embrasures. These were probably used as shelf for weapon mounts. The pillbox is built on a massive foundation plinth, on rocks, and was probably designed to blend in with the wall of the bathing pool. Externally there is evidence of black painted squares and some sort of cladding. This may indicate an attempt to camouflage the pillbox. The pillbox is reached by a causeway from the rear of the terrace of the house behind which it lies.
