9 x anti-tank 'pimples', partly buried. [There may be more].
(Source: Field Visit 1989/07/01)
There are some ten anti-tank 'pimples' along this stretch of the lake, mainly overgrown. [Recorder spoke to local groundsman who stated that the 'pimples' had been placed in their present position towards the end of the war. They had earlier been part of a roadblock near the Waverley Mill Bridge or perhaps used across the open spaces of the fields adjacent to Waverley Abbey].
