Abstract: |
<summary>An auger survey in the yard of buildings situated to the north of the Roman Wall at Horncastle revealed [?upper] a layer of "made ground" containing tile and flooring materials, coal, brick and post-medieval pottery sherds, probably representing the remains of a mud and stud cottage, overlying rubble scatters probably derived from the Roman wall. No evidence for a ditch associated with the Roman wall was found. {italon}AIP{italoff}{spacea} |
