Abstract: |
A total of 6 trenches of varying length were cut within the proposed development area, including the large mound that occurs within the southern portion of the field. It was revealed that the mound is composed of nothing more than clean sand. The trenches revealed the underlying raised beach, composed of beach pebbles of varying size. The 19th century single celled cottage located to the north-east was recorded to level 1 standard prior to re-development. |
