Abstract: |
Archaeological works including excavation and observation were carried out in advance of mineral extraction. The work led to the discovery of various ditches, two or possibly three of which, most probably dated to the Late Iron Age while the remainder were of relatively recent origin, and an amorphous feature which produced a large quantity of humanly struck flint. The excavation was extremely worthwhile in that it enabled a considerable further stretch of a previously known north-south 'Celtic' field boundary to be traced. [Au(adp)] |
