Abstract: |
A watching brief was undertaken during ground disturbance and demolition of existing buildings, following an evaluation which indicated that the proposed development area had potential to contain archaeological remains. The watching brief confirmed the site had been developed by the late medieval period - the remains of a substantial building and associated cobbled yard were identified and dated to this period. The present structure occupying the site is of early 18th century date. [Au(abr)] |
