Abstract:		 A trial trench on land adjoining the site of a medieval hospital at Brook Street revealed a number of post-medieval features but found no evidence of earlier occupation. Archaeological potential was determined as low, there being no requirement for a rescue excavation, however a watching brief was recommended as only 5% of the site was sampled.[AIP]
