Abstract: |
An archaeological excavation was undertaken in September 2016 to investigate the site of a known, now demolished, horse gin at Bonas Hill Farm, Ogle, Northumberland in advance of planned redevelopment of the derelict farmstead for residential use. The truncated and fragmentary remains of the foundation trench for the walls of the demolished horse gin were identified and recorded, providing information on the size and position of the lost structure. No other archaeological finds or features were uncovered. |
