Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was carried out on the groundworks associated with a new rear extension to an existing residential dwelling. The archaeological monitoring identified a simple deposit sequence of a modern topsoil, an undated ploughsoil horizon and a natural horizon throughout the monitored areas. This sequence had been disturbed by the construction of a previous rear extension on the site. The archaeological monitoring did not identify any archaeological activity, did not locate the line of either the Foss Way or of the Lincoln Aqueduct and there were no finds. |
