Abstract: |
Excavation in advance of construction uncovered the remains of a nineteenth century privy with cesspit and a small smithy adjacent to a two bay, two storey ironstone cottage. Details of internal timber fittings and stone and tile flooring were also recorded for the cottage. The building was unusual in that the interior was lined throughout in brick. |
