Abstract: |
A watching brief was kept during the excavation of trenches for underground power cables at the Roundel, Craigend, near Perth. The Roundel is a house built in the 1950s on a rock outcrop which is the site of a fort whose defensive ditches have been identified by aerial photography. The longest trench ran around the base of the N side of the knoll where traces of what appeared to be remnants of two ditches were uncovered and perhaps a feature associated with the entrance to the fort. |
