Abstract: |
Observation of development groundworks produced no significant finds. The area had previously been largely reduced to the level of natural sand and gravel (Kempton Park Terrace). A buried soil horizon and overlying dumps of 19th/20th century date were recorded in section and produced a few ceramic finds (not kept). A large infilled feature on the eastern side of the site may have been a 19th century gravel pit, relating to development on the east circa 1865-90. |
