Notes: | Third course of flint foundation wall. Very large flints at the junction to the SE corner end. Thin layer of bonding on the bottom of the construction cut in which the wall lies. NW end truncated by robber trench. Strat below 4609. Strat above [4617]. Completely removed in 2003. No plan - only photograph Accuracy rating - 3 |
Composition: | Third course of linear wall composed of unworked flints measuring c.314mm x 200mm and one piece of CBM measuring 120mm x 100mm; Direction of faces: SE and NW Bonding is the same as the bonding for the second course 4609, i.e. sandy silt on top of gravel with large stones on top of silt and small stones and pea gravel. It is noticeably thinner however on the third course Dimensions: 0.3m x 0.46m |
