Description: Silty clay floor layer and fill of pit [6032]
Notes:Silty clay floor layer, possibly a working surface in the vicinity of the main hearth of the north east building. Forms a fairly long strip which runs from the south to the north of the north east building. At the northern extent of this context, (6030) fills pit [6032] which also contained an almost complete sheep skeleton along with some CBM tiles. Strat below (5335). Strat above [6032]. Completely removed in 2005. Plan no: 29.293, 29.294 Accuracy rating - 4
Composition: Friable, light grey / yellow fine clayey silt Inclusions: 15-35% stones (S-A) (S-R) (6-20mm) (2-6cm); 15-20% CBM; 10-15% charcoal (but up to 25% within the pit cut); 10-15% pottery; c.6 Fe nails across the context Extent: 3.5m x 1m Clear edge definition
