Introduction

Surrey Historic Landscape Characterisation (HLC)

The Surrey Historic Landscape Characterisation project was undertaken by Surrey County Council, with funding from English Heritage. The project analysed and plotted a number of identifiable landscape types, as observed in modern field patterns and land use. The final product was a set of GIS SHP file for the various landscape types and an associated report.
