Reports on two small archaeological interventions undertaken under a voluntary code of practice covering the Area of Archaeological Importance. Saxon defences were located in sewer trenches in East Street and in Aubrey Street (the Kings Ditch). Medieval layers were also recorded, and a peat deposit at the Aubrey Street site was radiocarbon dated to the Bronze Age. | |||||||
