Abstract The abstract describing the content of the publication or report |
The information theoretically obtainable by excavation falls into four classes - structure, sequence, finds, and environmental material. Since individual sites will vary, not only in initial information content but in post-depositional history, they must be carefully chosen for the information they can yield within a rescue programme. The excavator's success will be measured by how skilful has been his strategy for retrieval, processing and publication of the information. |
