Abstract The abstract describing the content of the publication or report |
Land divisions on Dartmoor and elsewhere in upland and lowland England and Ireland show prevailing axes of orientation over wide areas (up to 3000 ha). Difficult natural features have little effect. Some systems have terminal boundaries and associated hut-circles. They may signify prehistoric ritual or ideological landscapes like those possibly associated with cursuses, henges, burial mounds, etc. F B | ||||
