Some new discoveries in the 10th century ship-barrow provide some useful data to complement the new Sutton Hoo work. The ship imprint within its concrete vault now has a chemically-balanced atmosphere, the shape of the mound is more accurately known, and a date of 700 for the start of the surrounding cemetery has been established. Much more work is needed. | ||||
