Abstract:
Suggests that fluxgate gradiometry can be used in the alluvial environment. Demonstrates how the results of geophysical surveys are highly variable, as it is often overlooked that the survey results provide other information, most notably of a palaoenvironmental nature. Uses four case studies from the East Midlands to illustrate this point.
