The abstract describing the content of the publication or report
Abstract:		 Report on the excavation of an area in the Priory Gardens, Orpington, in 2006, in an area to the west of the medieval Priory and to the northwest of the post-medieval priory outbuildings. The report gives the historical and archaeological background to the investigation, and the results of a resistivity survey, before describing the excavation itself. The foundations of the western wall of the Priory Gardens were uncovered; no other archaeological features were found. It is suggested that the foundations of the wall were built in about 1750, and were originally on the foundations of a barn or storage building associated with the Priory when it was a manor or private house.
