Abstract The abstract describing the content of the publication or report |
Describes the discovery of a seventeenth-century shipwreck in the approaches to Poole Harbour, Dorset. Reports that, since its first discovery in 1990, the wreck has deteriorated badly due to natural causes . Also notes that the original policy of preservation in situ with monitoring has been changed to allow for recording and recovery of material deemed to be under immediate threat. Argues that the rate of deterioration is such that this approach is no longer sufficient, and notes that discussions are currently underway to find a more permanent solution. (PP-B) | ||
