Abstract The abstract describing the content of the publication or report |
Discusses the site of La Cotte de St Brelade, a ravine system on the Jersey coast, where a new research project began in 2010. The site was a focus for large-scale excavations for much of the 20th century, producing the richest collection of Neanderthal artefacts in north-western Europe. The aims of the new project and the key findings from the 2010 season are outlined. Work included investigation of the sites of Upper Palaeolithic and Mesolithic finds elsewhere on the island as well as excavation and survey at La Cotte itself. LD | |||
