Abstract The abstract describing the content of the publication or report |
Excavations at Cheylesmore Manor are revealing stonework assumed to belong to the manor's Great Hall, as well the town wall and possible bridge abutment. The remains of a fourteenth century glass hanging lamp were recovered from the `courtyard' outside the Great Hall. Fine stonework and finds of roof and decorated floor tiles between the hall and town wall appear, from documentary evidence, to represent a tower post-dating both features. | |||||
