Two trenches were dug in advance of the construction of a vestry, centred on a fourteenth century doorway. They demonstrated that multiple graves covered the whole area but that any stratigraphy had been destroyed. The unusually large quantity of domestic pottery found (of twelfth to sixteenth century date) presumably relates to building activity or an unknown domestic building further north. | ||||||
