SP 545041. A watching brief allowed recovery of material from a small 2nd-century pottery tip and a late 3rd-century stokehole and pit. The main product in 2nd century was mortaria; in late 3rd century red colour-coated enclosed vessels and bowls were produced alongside orange ware jars. Potters' stamps from this and other Oxford kiln sites are published. Au(adp)
