Abstract:
Excavations in four locations exposed Roman ditches, medieval structures and pits with pottery groups allowing seriation by the Robinson-Brainerd method. At West St Helen Street were successive layers from Iron Age to modern times. Post-medieval pits are also reported, and there is a 17-page analysis of animal bones by R Wilson et al.
