Abstract:
NZ 142077. Remains of rectangular towers (c 1390?), one next to an entrance arch on footings of an earlier (?round) corner tower, are sited on a D-shaped platform in marsh. Outer earthworks (also described in detail) were probably connected with arrangements to flood marsh and create a moat: a stone-revetted dam lies above a spring, and a late medieval wall is on the bank forming the park boundary.
