Abstract The abstract describing the content of the publication or report |
Red deer bones occur in the Cnoc Coig Mesolithic midden on the Hebridean island of Oronsay; but microlithic elements in the assemblage from Staosnaig on the adjacent island of Colonsay are interpreted as too small to indicate deer hunting there. The Oronsay middens probably resulted from intermittent visits, not permanent occupation of the island. BOC | |||
