Abstract:
Excavation and watching brief showed that a rebuild of the church in 1826--27 made use of the foundations of a previous church on the site. Earlier foundations were revealed, with traces of a fire; fragmentary infant burials and charnel remains were also found. The platform and family burial enclosures surrounding the present church may reflect the plan of its earlier phases. Includes separately authored reports on:
