Abstract The abstract describing the content of the publication or report |
Documents a surviving Tudor building, now incorporated into a Victorian barn, which is neither listed nor scheduled. It is thought to be the central structure in the Farmer view of Old Copped Hall (published in 1735). The building is not terribly well preserved. The framing of the first floor exhibits the original tie-beams which divided the structure into eight bays. There is a postscript noting the uprooting of a tree in 1990 which revealed the footings of the west wall of the enclosed eastern part of the Tudor gardens. | |||||||
