Abstract:
Preliminary note on the six main phases of construction of a Late Neolithic/Early Bronze Age monument. Evidence for a young child burial in a wooden coffin, and later adult crouched burials contained in `shrouds' made of some organic matter were recovered despite the recent de-watering of the site caused by adjacent gravel working. Later in the Early Bronze Age a number of cremations were buried within the mound.
