Abstract:
Only a few of the numerous sites were examined under modern controlled conditions. Four main cemeteries served the colonia in the late Roman period, three on sites which became important in the Saxon period (palace, minster, hundredal meeting place). Pottery and ornaments are catalogued, with a summary of the bone data.
